Born in the west of England in rolling shire country, moved to the east coast before finally settling in London.

Started Zen with brother and a friend in 1991/2.

Began playing all over East Anglia and London from around 1993 with ever evolving Zen band.

In late 1996 landed dates in France. Played week residencies in the south of France on over 30 occasions up to 2004.

1993 recorded first studio demo ‘Loss of God’. 1994 saw first release bearing the name MileHighMusic, Zen’s ‘Nature vs Nurture’. Several more EPs were recorded over the years – see ‘Recordings’ page.

Courted by East/West, Warners, Echo and a bunch of other labels in mid to late 90s.

2004 met with Sony before last incarnation of Zen put to rest upon formation of The Mandrakes. The Mandrakes last until early 2007 after playing some good shows, also leaving a small cannon of garage recordings.

From 2004 focused more on recording and production with MileHighMusic, over-seeing releases by many other artists, as well as several solo releases.

Actually feel like I’m starting out now, liberated, MHM flying, recording at leisure, multiple recording projects on the go, breathe in the free air…
